I spoke with a bankruptcy lawyer today. He said that my best option was probably Chapter 7, which would absolve me of the mortgage & my credit card debt. Then he told me that his fee to take the case is $2300. Does anyone else see the irony in this?Buy my photos!

I spoke with a bankruptcy lawyer today. He said that my best option was probably Chapter 7, which would absolve me of the mortgage & my credit card debt. Then he told me that his fee to take the case is $2300. Does anyone else see the irony in this?

OMG you have GOT to be kidding? He's joking right? Isn't there a way to file on your own and avoid all the people trying to nickle and dime you?
Yeah, I'm going to check with the courts to see what is involved in filing on my own. UGH!
