Maybe it's just the vegetarianism thing, but I think, overall, you have a stronger stomach than I do. I'm a big fan of garlic fried rice though. It goes well with some soy sauce. Dragon fruit is also a favorite. The most famous ones come from Phan Thiết. Very refreshing. By the way, the English translation for cà pháo would be Thai eggplant.
