it looks so nice for $370/month. I thought shanghai was more costly.
The apartment certainly isn't bad, but Shanghai can be expensive if you want it to be. You can find apartments for 30,000 yuan a month (over US$4000) here. The cost of living depends on whether you want to live a posh Western lifestyle or if you're comfortable living a more humble life.
